2Day Liquidity and Core Funding Workshop
Program Content & Learning Objectives
FARIN’s 2Day Workshop is your chance to work with FARIN Experts on the growing complexity between the Asset/Liability, Liquidity and Profitability pressures. The importance of using your ALM Liquidity Management process has been heightened by the regulatory pressure to reexamine your sources and needs for liquidity. Our workshop examines your long-term capital plans and the impact on funding needs. Without the big picture, daily pricing actions can work against long term goals. This assignment identifies specific core funding needs and plans are developed to meet growth and mix objectives. This approach has helped many institutions lower overall funding costs as much as 20 basis points while growing deposits.
During the funding review, we will examine your current pricing actions, product offerings, competitive environment and use that information in conjunction with the funding goals to help you:
- Develop specific pricing rules for each of four sectors
- Identify new markets/missing products
- Examine opportunities to reconfigure existing products
- Discuss specific marketing actions to achieve goals
- Set measurable metrics for sucess
With the recent regulatory pressure on institution’s to develop Contingency Funding Plans, it is crucial that these plans be more than just a regulatory response but actually fit with the overall business strategy. In addition to these specific funding actions, you will leave with:
- Balanced Financial Goals in a 5 Year Capital Plan Framework
- Projected Funding Needs from the 5 Year Capital Plan Framework
- Major Components of Contingency Funding Plan Completed
- A Review of the impact of current & proposed actions on overall ALCO risks
